Hengameh Ghaziani, who is showing the movie "With Others" these days, believes that the definition of the role of middle-aged women in Iranian cinema is flawed.

According to the report of the film service of Art Online / Ghaziati's career despite his long acting career (fourteen years) is small but fruitful and significant, and generally he does not play more than one film a year, but he always plays roles that have a place for work and different opinions of critics and cinema people. obtains Roles that are believable images of Iranian women with different characters. We have had a conversation with Ghaziani on the pretext of the release of the movie "With Others" and the characteristics of the role of women in it. In recent years, you have become an expert in playing the role of calm and patient middle-aged Iranian women. What are the characteristics of these roles for you?

I don't understand the word middle-aged. The screenplays that I am offered to play and I read often start with this sentence: The female character is a middle-aged woman who has a certain job and is about thirty-seven years old. While we must not forget that the definition of middle age has changed compared to previous years, and women under sixty are called middle-aged, and this statement also has a scientific basis, and middle age has undergone changes, and generally very young women are also called middle-aged in our films. and I don't know when the screenwriter's friends are going to change their wrong view and insist that the middle-aged woman is in her thirties. The story of playing the roles you mentioned. It is a kind of credit for me. Because I am far from these roles and neither my mother nor my grandmother were women of this gender. When you play the role of the class you belong to. Your work is easier during the game and because I am an alien class, I face many challenges during the game. I can honestly say that out of the 11 screenplays offered to me, there are only two good screenplays, and it is natural that I have to play roles that have a place for me to work, and these movies may not be blockbusters either. I have made a frame for myself, and this frame is made very painstakingly. This frame was not created with special support, support and gangs and mafia. Because I have been independent and on my own feet and I have worked hard in these fourteen years. The period that starts with the movie "Light Shadow" and has continued until now, and I don't want to spoil it by making the wrong choice. In order not to spoil this frame, I prefer to play roles that are respectable roles.

What do you mean by respectable roles?

It's not like I'm going to play the role of "Holy Mary" and I don't mean those kinds of roles, and sometimes you can play the role of a street woman. But do the role so well that the role becomes respectable and dignified. From my point of view, the honorable role has a definition. A role that has a place to work and is in such a way that people who are very kind to me will not be upset when they see it. People on the street want me to always play quality roles and this makes me not dare to play even average roles. The role of Tahira in the movie "Baa Andaran" was also a place for me, and for many days in the hospital scenes, my hands were constantly in the water of the jawel and surrounded by infected sheets. I worked upright in the hospital and I valued my work.

In the previous two years, you played the role of a doctor in the movie "Days of Life". What were the characteristics of Tahereh being a nurse for you?

It was important to me. Of course, in the movie "With Others", Tahereh works in the service department of the hospital. I played the role of a doctor in "Days of Life" and I remember that after Simorgh was taken away from Fajr for playing in this film, some of my dear colleagues commented that the role was not very useful and Simorgh should not have been taken, and these friends said two years later That the judges' award was right! And the role has been heavy and difficult. Of course, it is clear that these friends had not seen the film at the festival of that year and they had made the same comments, and my rightness was proven for winning the Simorgh, and I safely squeezed the two Simorghs that I had won in my hands again. However, two years have passed since I played the role of Dr. Leila Sohrabi in the movie "Life Days" and in the new government of the Ministry of Health (Dr. Hashemi) on Nurse's Day at the end of March, I was given the title of movie nurse and a nursing uniform for my role in this movie. And this role came alive for me again.

Has the type of looks changed a lot during this time?

Yes, there is avarice, envy and false pride here, and this year I use the word false a lot and I don't want to be silent like I used to. All my colleagues are constantly commenting in different media and I think that my silence, which is rooted in my family upbringing, has been too long. 14 years of being an actor in the weak years of Iranian cinema is a lifetime and I have no support except God. The force above is busy watching and it makes us proud and every movie I have acted was noticed in its time or later.

Many first-rate Hollywood actors like Meryl Streep continue to shine in the role of ordinary women in the movie "Bridges of Medicine County"?

Yes, no one tells this middle-aged lady! . Now we have many middle-aged actresses in the cinema. There are five female actresses of my age working in Iranian cinema, and of course I won't mention their names. Among these friends who are the same age as me, I have only openly stated my age. I had a child at a young age and I have an older son. There is this idea even among screenwriters that I am older than them and these friends still play the role of young and teen girls and fall in love, and I have announced that I have an older son. I have to play other roles. Of course, I am not interested in acting in these types of roles, and I would like to be offered a role based on the actor's ability and ability, and they don't want to repeat themselves in the same role all the time. As you said, in Hollywood cinema, many good roles are written for people over the age of forty, and the age of forty is the peak of female emotions.

Many people have mentioned the topic previously discussed in the movie (surrogate womb), how was the role of Tahira in the movie "Badigaran" different that you accepted it?

The womb is not rented in this movie. Rather, the womb is given to a family that is at risk of collapse due to not having a child, and the woman does this as a vow, and because this woman has already miscarried a child and suffered this pain; His heart wants to do this for the good of his children. Everyone does something according to their ability for the good of their family, and Tahereh chooses this way because she does not have a good financial situation, so that blessings reach her family.
